Hemp in New World: Everything You Need to Know
By Jack O'Dwyer

New World players want to know everything they can about hemp, a resource in-game.
Amazon Games' MMO, New World, is a game based on crafting and creating weapons, armor, and equipment in order to advance and do well in the world. As such, every inch of the fantasy continent, Aeternum, bears mulitple resource nodes for wood, stone, metal, and herbs.
One such herb is hemp, which can be harvested and refined for its Fibers to be used in a wide assortment of recipes.

Thank you for your patience!
Where to Find Hemp in New World
Hemp appears in the overland as a cluster of tall ferns with purple or brown buds. Some could confuse it with lavender at first glance. However, its petals are a deeper magenta, and it is clustered more closely at the bottom. Its leaves are also more pointed and bear that distinct five-frond appearance.
Players can find hemp nodes south of Tres Campos Farm or at random intervals throughout Aeternum.
How to Harvest Hemp in New World
Hemp can be harvested using the Sickle tool.
There are three node sizes: small, medium, and large. Each offers its own value of fibers and experience. Once harvested, it will be added to the player's inventory as "Fibers."
What is Hemp Good for in New World?
Hemp, which yields Fibers, is a primary ingredient in Weaving—which is, essentially, just the process of refining the Fibers. Weaving is done at a Loom and can result in Cloths such as Linen (x4 Fibers), Sateen, Silk, and Infused Silk at higher levels. Each cloth is used in making in the other, but they all start with Fibers.
Cloth is typically used to make Armor.
