IO Interactive has announced Hitman Trilogy, a collection of the three Hitman games it's developed over the last several years, set for release Jan. 20. The collection will be available day one on Xbox and PC Game Pass.

This will be the first time IO's World of Assassination trilogy has been available as a single purchase. It's also the first time Hitman 3 will be available to purchase through Steam, as Jan. 20 marks the end of IO Interactive's exclusivity deal with the Epic Games Store.

The Trilogy will simultaneously release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. IO has yet to announce a price for the Trilogy.

IO Interactive revealed Hitman Trilogy as part of its slate of announcements for Hitman 3 Year 2, which detailed the content set to arrive for the game over the course of the next year. Other announcements in the broadcast included Hitman 3 VR on PC — no more PlayStation VR exclusivity — and two new game modes. One, Elusive Target Arcade, builds on the already popular Elusive Target mode by sending players to eliminate multiple targets in succession. Arcade Contracts will also be available permanently, but failure will cause a 12-hour lockout from the mode.

An all-new mode arriving later this year called Freelancer offers players a new way to play campaign missions, and two new maps round out the new content. Graphical updates including real-time ray tracing will be made available later in 2022.
