Horizon Forbidden West State of Play Announced

Sony has announced Horizon Forbidden West will be the focus of its next State of Play broadcast, scheduled for Thursday, May 27. The broadcast will include the first official gameplay reveal for the hotly anticipated sequel.
Game director Mathijs de Jonge announced the State of Play in a blog post Tuesday, saying the 20-minute broadcast would include around 14 minutes of gameplay captured on PlayStation 5.

"This reveal has been a true team effort and we’re very excited to show you what we have in store," de Jonge wrote. "Whether you’ve been with us and Aloy since Horizon Zero Dawn or are only just getting to know this incredible world, we want to share this huge milestone with you and cannot wait to see your favorite moments and reactions."
The livestream will be broadcast on the official PlayStation Twitch and YouTube channels beginning with a "uniquely crafted countdown" pre-show at 12 p.m. ET. The gameplay will begin at 5 p.m. ET.
Sony and developer Guerrilla Games revealed Horizon Forbidden West, the follow-up to the runaway success of Horizon Zero Dawn, in June 2020. It's set for release on PS4 and PS5 in late 2021.
