Horizon Forbidden West features a hefty crafting system. Certain components that you collect throughout your jouney can be used to upgrade weapons, outfits, and pouches. While the majority of the materials are torn off components from wild machines, some can be sourced from more natural beings.

When upgrading things such as your potions pouch, resource pouch, and more, you'll need to make use of certain animal components. One such component can be found from the vulture which, if you want to upgrade a certain pouch, you'll need to locate.

Naturally, some animals and creatures can only be found in specific areas. Here's what you need to know.

Horizon Forbidden West: Where to Find Vulture Feathers

Vulture feathers can be found, as you can imagine, on vultures. But locating these vultures is what might require a bit of work. These birds aren't really present until you reach a certain point in the game, namely once you begin your journey out of No Man's Land and into Tenakth territory.

Searching around in more desert-like biomes is your safest bet. Many vultures can be found in the region surrounding the Arrowhand settlement. Use your Focus in order to locate the vultures; they're slightly bigger than some of the other birds you might have encountered already, making them easier targets to pin down. That being said, you'll need to approach them cautiously as they'll be quick to fly off as soon as they spot you.

A quick shot with an arrow should be enough to bring one of them down. It's worth noting that vulture feathers aren't guaranteed to drop each time, therefore you might need to take down a fair few before you get all the feathers you need.
