Left 4 Dead fans have new opportunity to get in on the gorey fun with Back 4 Blood—now in beta.
A few lucky players have had the chance to experience this early build of the game in its almost-full glory. Back 4 Blood launched its first Open Beta period on Thursday, Aug. 5. Both PvE and PvP elements of the game are available to experience, giving fans a glimpse into what the finished title will look and feel like when it finally hits shelves. Until then, however, players will have to be content with participating in the Open Betas along the way.
How Long is the Back 4 Blood Beta?
Back 4 Blood’s Open Beta period has two distinct shifts to it. The first, known as the “Early Access” shift, will last about four days in total, ending on Monday, Aug. 9. It requires a specific code to access this first part—but those who either didn’t receive one or lost out on their chance to use it shouldn’t worry.
The second period of Open Beta will also last four days. It will kick off on Thursday, Aug. 12 and end on Monday, Aug. 16. During this time, anyone can access this build, regardless of invitation.
As mentioned before, both the PvE and PvP modes are available to play during this time. Hopefully, this will give enough of an impression to know which aspects will be the most important going forward into the live game. There’s no advantage like arriving early, right?
Back 4 Blood is slated to release this Autumn on Oct. 12. Players can purchase it for the Xbox One/Series S|X, PlayStation 4/5, and PC. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have access to it from the moment it officially launches.
