Some fans have deduced how long Cyberpunk 2077's campaign is based on a brief informal statement from a member of the team.

With just three days left until launch at the time of writing, prospective players are beginning to ask the big questions. Chief among them is just how long they'll need to invest in the game to complete its full story campaign. Fortunately, despite CD Projekt Red's best attempts to obscure the answer, there may be a concrete number out there after all.

How Long is the Cyberpunk 2077 Campaign?

The Cyberpunk 2077 campaign is around 40-50 hours long, according to speculation from information given after the third episode of Night City Wire. Patrick K. Mills, senior quest designer, told streamers that the main campaign for the game will be "slightly shorter than The Witcher 3."

"We got a lot of complaints about Witcher 3's main story just being too long. Looking at the metrics, you see tremendous numbers of people [who] played through that game really far but never made it to the end." He said.

Despite the shorter story length, Mill promised that Cyberpunk still has "lots to do."

The main campaign for the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, another game developed by CD Projekt Red, lasts near 50 hours in total. Given Mills' description, some fans have estimated the game will take around 40-50 hours.

Cyberpunk 2077 will officially release on Dec. 10. It is currently available for preload on most platforms.
