CD Projekt Red finally released their long-awaited, highly-anticipated sci-fi title, Cyberpunk 2077, to a hyped audience on Dec. 10. Players making their way through the story are often given the option to direct the course of V’s life through missions and dialogue options. Each combination unlocks a unique ending and corresponding epilogue.

We’d like our readers to be aware that the final ending listed involves themes of self-harm and suicide. Players should avoid this option and piece of this article if they find such content uncomfortable or disturbing.

How Many Endings are in Cyberpunk 2077?

There are five endings total in Cyberpunk 2077, according to IGN.com. Three of these are standard and two are secret—only obtainable through obscure non-direct choices at the end of the story.

As is typical of roleplaying games, each choice and piece of content completed during the course of the normal storyline will impact the options available at the end of the game. In this case, the player’s amount of side content finished expand their paths in the ending mission: ”Nocturne Op55N1.” Fortunately, CD Projekt Red were kind enough to alert the player to the fact they won’t be able to naturally return to the events before beginning this mission.

The first standard ending requires the player to accept Hanako’s offer—essentially trusting Arasaka. This is the default choice that requires no extra content.

The second standard ending is to call in Panam for assistance. Players get this option if they complete Panam’s side quests through to “Queen of the Highway” before going to meet Hanako.

The third standing ending lets the player call Rogue for help. Players can make this call if they’ve completed the Blistering Love series of side missions.

The first secret ending is to go on this mission alone.

The second secret ending is to purposefully, permanently end V’s life. Players can make a choice, back out, and then take a look at either the pills in their hand or the gun at their side. This unlocks another option which allows V to opt for suicide, instead.
