How Many People Play GTA 5?

Released back in Sept. 2013, GTA V is an action-adventure video game that allows players to roam freely around the fictional city of San Andreas.

GTA V, despite being almost seven years old, continues to maintain a steady fan base. A survey done by Statista followed peak concurrent player numbers on Steam from 2016-2020.

In January, GTA V reached 214.8 thousand concurrent players, an a four year peak. While the number of players on GTA V varies from month to month, December and January are usually the most popular until the summer months roll around.

The all time peak was around 360,000 players back in March of 2015. Since then, the average has been around 110,000 players, a great number if you are Rockstar Games.

Although there has been no word yet on when GTA 6 will make its debut, the game is sure to join its predecessors as one of the best selling video games in the World.
