Petlil is the newest Pokémon to be added to Pokémon GO as Niantic continues to add more Pokémon from the Unova region. Petlil, the bulb Pokémon, is a grass-type. It evolves once, at which point it becomes Liligant, the flowering Pokémon.

How to Catch Petlil in Pokémon GO
Petlil can be found in the wild as of July 17, however, if you're looking for a guaranteed spawn, Petlil can be encountered as a reward for completing the GO Fest Friendship challenges, which will be active until 10 p.m. on July 22.
How to Evolve Petlil
The cost to evolve Petlil into Liligant is 50 candies and a sun stone. Sun stones can be found randomly at Pokestops or through special research challenges. Candies can be acquired by walking with Petlil as a buddy, catching wild Petlil or Liligant, or hatching Petlil or Liligant from an egg.
How to Counter Petlil
Petlil and its evolved form Liligant are both pure grass types, making them weak against fire, ice, flying, poison, and bug-type attacks. Galarian Darmanitan, particularly zen mode Galarian Darmanitan, makes a good counter with powerful fire and ice type moves. Volcorona is also a fantastic option with its ability to do super-effective bug and fire-type damage. If you don't have either of these, any bug, fire, ice, flying, or poison-type will do, as long as they don't have water or ground as a secondary typing.
