How to delete a Genshin Impact account is a question that many are wondering at the moment as fans seem to continue to be frustrated with the direction of the action RPG from miHoYo.

Whether the intention is inspired by hopes of getting a better pull in one's first gacha roll, or they simply are deciding it's time to permanently retire from adventuring, here's how to delete a Genshin Impact account.

How to Delete a Genshin Impact Account: Steps Detailed

Unfortunately, the process to delete a Genshin Impact account takes much more effort than most would initially assume.

Unlike most mobile gacha games where players can easily reroll their accounts simply by deleting the data in the game, then redownloading the data to start a new account, Genshin Impact requires players to attach their accounts to verified emails. As such, deleting any data tied to the game is tougher than the norm.

For those on PC and/or mobile, deleting a Genshin Impact account requires players to send an email to miHoYo directly from that account's registered email ID. The process has been said to take as long as two months to complete at times.

  1. Create a new draft from your miHoYo account email and address it to either "genshin_cm@mihoyo.com" or "genshin_cs@mihoyo.com."
  2. For the subject title of the email, make sure it reads along the lines of "Request to delete MiHoYo account."
  3. Give an explanation of your request to delete your Genshin Impact account, as well as provide your username and email ID.
  4. Select "Send"

Unfortunately for those who played the action RPG on PlayStation, the only way to delete their Genshin Impact accounts is by deleting their PSN account, since the two are synced.
