Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8 is well underway, and with it comes a few new NPCs who have some fancy quests for players to undertake. After talking to Raven, players can begin the Dark Skies questline. One part of the quest tasks players with destroying two Sideways Rocks. These rocks can be found in very specific locations, so here's what you need to know.

How to Destroy Sideways Rocks in Fortnite

Naturally, Sideways Rocks can be found within the Sideways. Anyone who's played even a few games of Fortnite Season 8 will have likely come across the Sideways Anomalies at some point. A Sideways Anomaly comes in two forms: Sideways Zones which are the large orange domes that appear in a named location, or Sideways Encounters which appear on the map as purple crystals that expand into a Sideways area when the player approches.

After entering the Sideways through one of these methods, players will need to locate and destroy Sideways Rocks. These will appear as large rock formations embedded with purple crystals. Once found, players should mine into it to destroy it. Two Sideways Rocks will need to be destroyed in order to complete the quest, earning players a tidy sum of 30,000 XP.

Be on the look out for enemies and other players, though. These Sideways areas can be a hot spot for not only enemy players, but Cube Monsters that are lurking around. Be sure to come well equipped and ready to defend yourself if needed.
