While playing Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, you can stock up on plenty of items and pick-ups along your travels. While much of this loot may provide helpful, you may pick up a few things along the way that aren't needed, and you may want to clear space in your inventory by dropping them. How to Drop Gear from Your Inventory in Tiny Tina's Wonderland

It’s not possible to drop gear you don’t want while navigating the Overworld unless you’re in a combat encounter. You’re free to do it once you get to a destination where the perspective changes to first-person again, but keep this in mind in case you have a full inventory so that you don’t miss on any valuable loot.

You do have the ability to mark items as junk in your inventory to quick sell, however, there doesn't seem to be a way to just drop gear entirely to clear space. It's unknown if this was intentional by developers Gearbox and 2K Games, but it can be frustrating for players who don't want to lose certain items to pick up more valuable loot.
