Here’s our guide to evolve Eevee into one of the new Eevee-lutions introduced in Generation IV: Glaceon.

Glaceon, also known as the “Fresh Snow” Pokemon, is one of two Eevee-lutions introduced with the debut of the Sinnoh region. It can control the heat of both is body and the immediate surrounding area, causing its fur to harden into protective spikes or kick up a sudden snow flurry. Its PokeDex number is #471.

Here’s how to evolve Eevee into Glaceon in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

How to Evolve Eevee into Glaceon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

There is only one way to evolve Eevee into Glaceon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl—much like the original games released in 2006. It involves taking a brief trip to Snowpoint City.

First, trainers will need to obtain an Eevee or make the decision of which Eevee they’d like to evolve into Glaceon.

With that Eevee in their party, trainers should take the trip up to Snowpoint City to reach Route 217—just sound of the city limits. This is where they’ll find the Ice Rock in the easternmost part of the area. It should appear like a taller Rock Smash-able rock completely frozen solid.

To evolve Eevee, simply level up the Eevee around the Ice Rock. The presence of the landmark outweighs any other evolutionary possibilities so trainers don’t need to worry about accidentally ending up with an Umbreon or Espeon.

There is no level requirement for evolution into Glaceon.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are available now for the Nintendo Switch.
