Here’s our guide on how to evolve Eevee into one of the new Generation IV Eevee-lutions, Leafeon.

Leafeon is one of two new Eevee-lutions introduced in Generation IV with the release of the Sinnoh region. It is a grass-type and, according to its PokeDex description, it’s “cellular composition” is far more like a plant than an animal. It can commonly be found lying in the Sun performing photosynthesis. For this reason, it is associated with clean air. Its PokeDex number is #470.

How to Evolve Eevee into Leafeon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Thanks to its debut in Generation IV with the original release of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl in 2006, there is a repeatable avenue to evolve Eevee into Leafeon in-game. This has carried over to the remake, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, alongside the traditional Evolutionary Stone item method.

The first thing trainers will need is an Eevee [where to find Eevee hook].

Once they’ve secured one or chosen the one they’d like to evolve into Leafeon, it’s simply a matter of taking a brief trip to the Eterna Forest. In this area, there is a landmark known as the Moss Rock—which looks a bit like a Rock Smash-able rock covered in patches of green.

To evolve Eevee into Leafeon, simply level-up that Eevee in the same area as the Moss Rock. This landmark will outweigh any other method of evolution so there’s no need to worry about an accidental Espeon or Umbreon.

Otherwise, trainers can expose their chosen Eevee to a Leaf Stone. These can be found in the Floraroma Meadow and the Underground.

There is no level requirement to evolve Eevee into Leafeon.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are available now for the Nintendo Switch.
