How to Find the Hideouts in Fortnite

With the introduction of Fortnite Chapter 2, and a brand new map along with it, even the most seasoned Fortnite player will have plenty to explore in this new map.

With the new map comes plenty of new features, one of the most interesting of which come sin the form of hideouts. While we saw similar stealth features before the release of Chapter 2 with things such as the bush, which provided a sometimes obvious mobile hiding spot, these hideouts will be littered around the map and allow players to camp out and surprise unsuspecting opponents.

The great thing about hideouts is that, unlike the bush, they can take many forms, preventing your opponent from knowing exactly where you are right off the bat. Most commonly, hideouts come in the form of dumpsters and hay bales.

To use these hideouts, walk up to the dumpster or hay bale, and you will be prompted to jump in. By hitting jump in, your character will dive into the hideout, allowing you to be totally concealed until you decide to pop out and surprise attack you opponent.

You will not be able to shoot out of a hideout, and opponents will be able to mine them for resources while you're in there, so be careful.
