How to Get a 99 Player in NBA 2K20
By Nathan Fusco

NBA 2K20 is all about how to get a 99 player. It can be time consuming, but 2K Games has created a monetization system that allows you purchase points to upgrade your character faster.
It's a slippery slope, though, as you end paying much more than the average player just to reach a part of the game faster.

How to Get a 99 Player in NBA 2K20
To naturally gain badge progression and gain points, use the team training facility. For a starting player, we suggest improving his shooting skill with Deep Range Deadeye or Difficult Shots. Obviously, the different game modes give you different rewards.
Pro-Am : 20k-50k for 10-15 games
MyCareer : 15k-25k for 20+ games
Playground : 2k-8k for 15-20 games
Pro-Am is the most difficult of the three and rewards you with the most experience. It might look like the Pro-Am would undoubtedly be the best mode to choose, but it's also the most difficult to win. You need to do positive things in these matches to gain badge progression, so if you get outplayed, it's all meaningless.
So either spend some real money on VC or end up grinding it out.
