How to Get Ankha in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Arguably one of the most popular Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers, Ankha is one that many players are trying to get on their island.

The snooty villager is Egyptian royalty, and she made her debut in the original American release for Animal Crossing and then returned in City Folk, New Leaf and New Horizons.

Her name is a play on words on the Egyptian hieroglyphic character "ankh" meaning "life" and the famous Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun.

Players can get Ankha through the usual villager hunting method of collecting or through purchasing her Amiibo card.

Due to her adorable design, which is heavily inspired by Egyptian mythology, it's no wonder why so many players have fallen in love with her.

Her yellow and blue color scheme is based on mummified cat Egyptian tombs, and she wears a traditional Egyptian headdress with a cobra on it. This is similar to how real Egyptian royalty was depicted in artwork and hieroglyphics.

Unfortunately for players, villager hunting is completely up to luck and, using this method, there is no sure-fire way to get Ankha.

Those who don't want to spend any money will have to wait awhile to get this villager, whether that's through the aforementioned villager hunting or waiting for her to enter the campsite.

Another way to get Ankha is through purchasing her Amiibo card, pictured below.

The traditional method of getting Amiibo cards still means that it will fall on the user's luck to get the card they want, especially with the large number of cards available.

There are third-party sellers that will allow fans to buy specific Amiibos in the form of handmade cards or coins, but those has to be scouted for to be able to trust the legitimacy of it.

Official Amiibo cards and figures can be purchased at Amazon, Walmart, Target and local retailers.
