How to Get Black Scales Highland Drake in Dragonflight

With the release of World of Warcraft's latest expansion, Dragonflight, players new and old have plenty of content and features to get to grips with. This expansion sees the addition of new Race/Class combination — dracthyr Evoker. Also added to the expansion is the brand new Dragonriding skill, used only with the new, customizable Drakes.

Part of the draw for these new Drakes is the ability to change their appearance, allowing players to sync up their aesthetics in a brand new way. While a number of customization options will be available from the get-go, more can be obtained throughout your adventures in the Dragon Isles.

How to Get Highland Drake: Black Scales in Dragonflight

Players can choose to develop their reputation with either Wrathion or Sabellian, two sister reputations in Dragonflight. They're competing for the leadership of the Black Dragonflight, and require your help to do it. Gaining reputation with either of the two will unlock a variety of rewards, one of which is the Highland Drake: Black Scales.

Both Wrathion and Sabellian have different vendors where you can purchase the rewards. Some are shared, others exclusive to either side. Wrathion uses Lorena Belle as quartermaster, while Sabellian uses Samia Inkling.

The Highland Drake: Black Scales is a shared reward, and can be received no matter who you choose to help. It costs 400 Dragon Isles Supplies and one Awakened Earth. Your reputation will need to be at "True Friend" for either side before you'll be able to purchase the item.

Once purchased, you'll unlock the Black Scales customization option for the Highland Drake.
