Iron Leaves, the future paradox form of the Generation V legendary Pokémon Virizion, is coming to Pokémon Violet as a limited-time event, according to today's Pokémon Day Pokémon Presents announcement.

The new Pokémon was announced today as Pokémon Violet's counterpart to the new past paradox form of Pokémon Scarlet's Walking Wake, a paradox form of Suicune. Compounding these announcements was that the downloadable content for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet would be coming soon to include new storyline elements and characters to extend the original's game story.

Iron Leaves, in the same vein as the other future paradox Pokémon, looks like a robotic version of the original Pokémon it is based on. While Virizion is a Grass- and Fighting-type Pokémon, Iron Leaves is a Grass- and Psychic-type Pokémon, complicating existing strategies for players expecting it would be of the same type as the Pokémon it is based on.

How to Get Iron Leaves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Iron Leaves is only available in Pokémon Violet, but players can get access to the Five-Star Tera Raid by going onto their Pokémon Violet save file and going to Online events and they will be able to find the event from there.

Only one Iron Leaves can be challenged per save file, so players should account for this and make sure they are successful in their attempt to obtain Iron Leaves.

The new paradox Pokémon will be a Tera Psychic-type Pokémon, meaning that players should bring their strongest Ghost- and Bug-type Pokémon, with a preference for the latter due to their ability to also counter any potential Grass-type moves Iron Leaves may use on them.

The Iron Leaves Five-Star Tera Raid event will only be available in Pokémon Violet from Feb. 27 to Mar. 12.
