How to Get the Fortnite Webster Skin
By Jack O'Dwyer
Epic Games released a new Fortnite Spring-themed skin, Webster the mecha-duckling, alongside the Spring Breakout event this April.
Who wouldn't want the chance to wander Fortnite Island as a big, yellow, mechanical duck? Better yet, who wouldn't want to do so for free? This first Friday in April, players will have that chance to earn the skin with nothing but a bit of effort. All it will cost is three hours of their time.
Here's how to get "quacking."
How to Get the Fortnite Webster Skin
Players can earn the Webster skin and its corresponding back bling, the Mecha-Feathers, by performing well in the recently announced Spring Breakout Cup this coming Friday, April 2. Participants will compete in teams of two—Duos—for three hours with the option to play through a maximum of ten matches.
In order to qualify for the cup, players need an account of at least level 30 with two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled. They should be a legal adult or have either parent or guardian permission to compete. Additionally, they must follow all rules outlined in the Code of Conduct.
Points are allocated according to placement from Victory Royale in first to 50th plus additional single points per opponent eliminations. Totals are as follows:
- Victory Royale: 42 Points
- 2nd: 36 Points
- 3rd: 32 Points
- 4th: 30 Points
- 5th: 29 Points
Below 5th place, the total decreases by one for every rank until 29th where each cluster of five decreases by one to three points. At 50th place, the total is one.
To earn the skin and accompanying back bling, players must place in the top-performing percentage of Duos for their region. By region, those eligible placements are:
- NA East: 1st - 575th
- NA West: 1st - 250th
- EU: 1st - 1,125th
- Brazil: 1st - 250th
- Asia: 1st - 125th
- Oceania: 1st - 75th
- Middle East: 1st - 100th
