How to Get the Halo 1 Pistol in Destiny 2

Thanks to the release of the Bungie 30th Anniversary Event, the OG Halo: Combat Evolved Magnum is available now as an Exotic weapon in Destiny 2.

For those looking to rock the "original god pistol," here's breakdown of how to get the Halo magnum-inspired Forerunner Exotic Sidearm in Destiny 2.

To get the Halo Magnum in Destiny 2, players will need to complete a certain Exotic Quest, which also gives out plenty of other Halo-inspired gear along the way.

How to Get the Halo 1 Pistol in Destiny 2

First, head over to Xur's Treasure Hoard in the Eternity to speak to the Purveyor of Strange Goods.

Before being able to get the Exotic Quest, players will have to do some steps related to the new update. Luckily, they're are pretty straightforward and rewards players with other Halo-inspired gear (e.g. the BxR-55 Battler), so be sure to get those done.

Eventually, will offer the Resplendent Reward Package, which includes the Covenant-inspired Retraced Path Energy weapon and the Magnum Opus Exotic Quest.

To complete this, players will need to complete six steps:

• Step 1: Collect seven Strange Coins and bring them back to Starhorse in Eternity. Be sure to get this done in the new Dares of Eternity activity as this is needed later in the quest. Those who bought the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack will also have a Resplendent Reward Package waiting for them in their inventories, which could give three Strange Coins.
• Step 2: Obtain and complete three Starhorse bounties. Keep in mind that completing some of the harder bounties will grant more progress for the quest, as they give out more Paraversal Hauls.
• Step 3: Obtain the Strange Key from Xur in Eternity after reaching Strange Favor Rank "Brave," which players get for being Rank 4.
• Step 4: Follow the objective marker out to the Dares of Eternity area and interact with the rock and use the Strange Key.
• Step 5: Follow the objective marker to find a cave that will include several jumping puzzles. At the end, there will be a Master Chief-inspired Cryo Pod. Upon opening it, players will receive the Anomalous Object.
• Step 6: Head to the Gunsmith at the Tower and acquire the Forerunner Exotic Sidearm.
