How to Hide Your Level in Valorant

Riot Games has added a feature to Valorant that lets players hide their account level. Here's what you need to know.

Valorant received a feature in Patch 3.0 which showcased just how much time a player had spent in-game. While many tend to wear their game time as a badge of honor, for some low-level players this can be a bit of a hinderance. Often accused of having little experience and no skill, new account holders would occasionally come up against some less than favourable treatment in Valorant. On the other hand, having a player level visible allows potential teammates to get a reading on your skill level. Kinder gamers would likely use this to hold off on any critisicm they might usually send to the more experienced, but we all know such gamers are few and far between.

Thanks to player feedback, Riot Games have since introduced a way to hide your level in Valorant in Patch 3.08. By making it an optional feature, newer players won't need to feel so discouraged when enjoying the game. Here's what you need to know about hiding your level.

How to Hide Your Level in Valorant

Hiding your player level in Valorant is reasonably simple and can be done in-game:

  • Launch Valorant and click on the Collection tab, next to "Play."
  • Navigate to the "Player Card" section and click on it.
  • You'll see an option called "Level Borders" where you can change border settings.
  • Navigate to the "show my account level on my player" option. Toggle it off to hide your level.

It's worth noting that this option is turned on by default, so you'll need to go through these steps if you want to hide you level. The good news is that hiding your level won't impact matchmaking, leaving your gameplay experience unchanged.
