How to perform a user catch in Madden 21 is vital especially for Ultimate Team players as they strive to complete solo challenges.
Madden 21 launched worldwide Aug. 28 with reigning NFL MVP and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson on the cover. Two promotions in Ultimate Team already kicked off with Superstar MVP and Legends cards already available.
Some of the solo challenges for players such as Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald and more require user catches to earn bonus stars. Outside of challenges, the user catch feature for players who might've been away from the franchise for a while are vital to stepping up their game.
Here's how to perform a user catch in Madden 21.
How to Perform a User Catch in Madden 21
User catches in the past were simply performed by pressing triangle when controlling a player. Now, there are different catch types in Madden 21.
- Possession Catch: Press A or X, Xbox One or PlayStation 4
- Run After Catch: Press X or Square, Xbox One or PlayStation 4
- Aggressive Catch: Press Y or Triangle, Xbox One or PlayStation 4
Each catch type will grant a different reaction from the player. Possession catches will make the player catch the ball and secure it at the cost of little yards after. Aggressive catches are for balls in coverage or out of reach. The last, Run After, lets the player catch the ball in stride and pick up some yards after completion.
