How to play split screen Fortnite is important for buddies wanting to play together on the same console.

If you've ever been sitting down with a friend but only had one console to play with, you can now hop into duo together on the same console with Fortnite Update 11.30. The update allows players to play in split screen mode for those playing on Xbox One or Playstation 4.

Here is how to play split screen in Fortnite.

How to Play Split Screen Fortnite

In order to enable split screen functionality in Fortnite, two controllers need to be connected to a single console.

When the second controller is plugged in, a log-in option will pop up on the screen for the second player to join in. Whoever is the second player has to hold on the specified button on their controller. After this is done, split screen should be enabled for each player's own POV during the game.

Split screen is only available for the Duo and Squad game modes, presumably because it wouldn't be fair to have the ability to screen peek during solo matches.

Unfortunately, the split screen feature has been temporarily disabled due to unforeseen issues but should be resolved by Epic in the future. There has been no update from Epic on when the feature will be reinstated as of yet.
