Whether you are playing Madden 23 on the couch with some friends or online against some opponent, one big part of the game has to do with taunting when given the opportunity.
Maybe you are starting off the game with a big play, or maybe you are up big in a game and want to have a bit of fun late in the game. Either way, taunting is a fun way to keep the game interesting.
How to Taunt in Madden 23
For those who do not know, taunting is another way to say celebrate. It is a way of showing off during the game to add a little bit more of a personal touch to the game, and it can really irritate your opponents if done correctly.
Taunting is something you are only going to want to do when you have open space in front of you, as it leaves you wide open to fumbling the ball or getting tackled. You are not running as fast when taunting so keep that in mind.
Here are the controls for how to taunt on PlayStation: Hold L2+R2+X.
Make sure you start holding the L2 and R2 button before the X as otherwise, you could try to stiff arm. Once activated your player will slow down and start their taunt/celebration and it is something you are only going to want to do when you are right next to the end zone unless you are up big in-game.
Here are the controls for how to taunt on Xbox: Hold LT+RT+A.
These are the same spots as the PlayStation but the two controls just have different names for each position. You can see a video tutorial down below on how to taunt:
Madden also offers different celebrations for gamers to use in-game when they get a big first down or sack, those ones are selected by pressing up down or side to side when prompted to. With all the different customizations, there is a lot of fun to be had when up big in Madden 23!
