Now that Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard Season 3: Classified Arms is off and running, the new unlock challenge mission for the KG M40 has just arrived.

As is the case with just about every new weapon that arrives in Call of Duty's current integrated season model, since the Season 2 battle pass is officially gone forever, the way to unlock the KG M40 AR has changed. Here's a breakdown of how to unlock the KG M40 assault rifle in Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard.

Warzone and Vanguard KG M40 Unlock Challenge Mission

Initially, as is the case at the time of publication with the new Season 3 M1916 marksman rifle, the KG M40 AR was simply unlocked for free by those who reached Tier 15 of the Season 2 battle pass.

Here is the new unlock challenge mission for players looking to unlock the KG M40 assault rifle moving forward:

  • Vanguard Multiplayer/Warzone: Earn 3 Double Kill Medals with an AR in a single match 15 times

As usual, once you’ve cleared the required challenge, the KG M40 will be accessible for free across both games.
