By Kaleb Smith
While we do not have a release date yet for the highly anticipated sequel to Overwatch, we do have a sneak-peak at using some of the in-game mechanics arriving with Overwatch 2. In fact, several committed players are seeking to bring some of the new mechanics into Overwatch as we know it now.
How to Use Mei’s Snowball Effect Ability from Overwatch 2
Team Ireland Overwatch coach Andy "Andygmb" Bohan caught the attention of Reddit recently by ushering in the all-new Mei ability shown off by Jeff Kaplan and the team during BlizzConline.
During the latest look at Overwatch 2 during BlizzConline 2021, we saw more of a new ability of Mei’s called “Snowball Effect.” This ability allow the player to roll around like Wrecking Ball after using her Cryo-Freeze, and is now able to damage enemies while staying safe in the frozen sphere.
Unsatisfied with waiting for an unspecified amount of time to try it out in full, Andygmb has brought the ability into Overwatch for Mei players to use right now. Players should be excited to know that, just like the preview of the move, Mei is able to bowl through and demolish the pin-like Bastions.
If you are looking to try out this preview of Mei in Overwatch 2, the Workshop code is: TT0MXQ. It is also important to note that this is only available on the Public Test Region version of the game for the time being. For now, console players will have to wait a bit longer for to check out Mei's Overwatch 2 ability.
