Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on PlayStation?
The new Avatar game has plenty of fans excited to dive right back into the Avatar universe, but some questions remain for fans, especially about which platforms the game will be releasing on. PlayStation fans in particular are wondering whether the Sony platform will receive the new game when it launches. Here are what we know about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and PlayStation.
Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on PlayStation?
According to the game page on Ubisoft's website, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be available on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, PC, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna. The Big Three of Xbox, PlayStation, and PC are obvious candidates for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, but it's more surprising to see the game will launch on Google Stadia and Amazon Luna, the two popular cloud-gaming options. At least with the game slated to release on PlayStation 5, Sony fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Now, they just have to manage to buy a PlayStation 5.
Other than the announcement trailer during E3 2021, little information has been revealed about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, other than a scheduled release window in 2022. The game's page on the Ubisoft website states, "In this new, standalone story, play as a Na’vi and embark on a journey across the Western Frontier, a never-before-seen part of Pandora. Explore a living and reactive world inhabited by unique creatures and new characters, and push back the formidable RDA forces that threaten it."
