Announced as part of Techland's Dying Light 2 broadcast at Gamescom 2021, it seems Dying Light: Platinum Edition is getting a Nintendo Switch release.

Dying Light: Platinum Edition is a version of the 2015 parkour-horror game in its most complete form. The Platinum Edition was first released on Playstation 4 and Xbox One and included all available DLC. Now it seems that a Switch release is in the works, and it will be interesting to see how to game is adapted for a handheld console.

Dying Light was well-received due to its interesting take on the survival-horror genre. The first-person game takes place in an open world, with a strong emphasis on parkour and an evolving enemy system.

The Switch version is also getting a physical release, with a selection of extras including:

  • Survival guide - containing tips & tricks on how to survive in the restricted zone
  • Two-sided map
  • Unique stickers

When Will Dying Light: Platinum Edition Release on Switch?

Despite an image being released for the physical bundle, it seems that a definitive release date has yet to be announced. The only information given by the developers is that the port will be coming "soon".

The Switch version will likely launch ahead of the anticipated sequel, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, which is scheduled to launch Dec. 7.
