Is Skyforge Cross-Platform? If you're looking to get into Allods Team's latest MMO, you'll want to know who you can play with. Here are the details on cross-platform play in Skyforge.

Is Skyforge Cross-Platform?

With Skyforge set to release soon on Nintendo Switch, many players have wondered if there are cross-platform capabilities. At this time, there is no cross-platform available for any of the individual systems. If you're starting Skyforge on a different platform, you'll have to make a fresh new character.

That means that players on a specific system can only play with other players on the same system. PC has its own server, Playstation has its own server, Xbox has its own server and Switch is expected to have its own server.

In an interview with Nintendo Life, Skyforge Development Team Lead Dmitry Lisichkin said "[t]here is no cross play planned either because players’ progression differs across platforms."

The experience for each account is uniquely tied to the system's dedicated server, as the Switch version will not have large-scale events due to hardware limitations.

Skyforge originally released on PC in 2015. PS4 and Xbox One servers arrived in 2017, and now a dedicated Nintendo Switch server will be coming in February. According to the developer, "Skyforge is a free-to-play, sci-fi action MMO where you play as an Immortal who must awaken divine powers to defend the planet Aelion from invasion."
