Many are asking themselves that as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare released Friday for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Battle.net. Modern Warfare is a return for the series to developer Infinity Ward. The game is a soft reboot as well of IW's famous Call of Duty 4.

Rejoice Call of Duty fans, Modern Warfare does indeed have cross-platform play enabled. No longer do you have to worry about getting a copy of the game on the same platform as your friends to play together.

Have a PC but your clan mates are on console? No worries. Vice versa? Same answer. Cross-platform play in Call of Duty has arrived and hopefully it's here to stay.

Infinity Ward also made it easy to decipher what platforms your compatriots are playing on in public matches.
