Is There a Fishing Mount in Dragonflight?

Wondering if there's a Mount you can earn through fishing challenges, or through maxing out the Fishing Skill in Dragonflight? Here's what you need to know.

With the recent release of World of Warcraft's latest expansion, Dragonflight, players new and old have plenty of content and features to get to grips with. This expansion sees the addition of new Race/Class combination — dracthyr Evoker. Also added to the expansion is the brand new Dragonriding skill, used only with the new, customizable Drakes.

But one element that plenty of fans have been looking forward to are the many new Mounts available in-game. Though there are plenty of new Mounts up for grabs in Dragonflight, including from Renown and Drops, many have special requirements that need to be fulfilled.

With that in mind, are there any Mounts to be earned through fishing?

Can You Earn a Mount Through Fishing in Dragonflight?

At the time of writing, there is not a Mount that can be obtained by solely fishing. Additionally, there are no Mounts to be obtained through fishing challenges. That said, there is a Mount that, in order to obtain, players will have to complete a quest that will make use of fishing.

To earn the Lizi's Reins Mount, a five day turn-in quest chain will need to be completed. To unlock the quest, players will need Renown 9 with Maruuk Centaur, be at Level 70, and complete Initiate's Day out from Sojourner of Ohn'ahran Plains.

Once unlocked, each of the quests can be picked up from Initiate Radiya. After one quest is completed, you'll need to wait for the daily reset in order to get the next quest in the chain. On day four of the quests, players will need to deliver 10x Thousandbite Piranha. These can be fished from anywhere in the Dragon Isles.

Of course, players won't need to fish for the Thousandbite Piranhas to complete the quest. The item can be purchased and sold at the Auction House.
