A new teaser has strongly hinted at the return of Tilted Towers to Fortnite.
Tilted Towers, a beloved point of interest, was first introduced to the game back in Chapter 1, Season 2. Located between Loot Lake and Shifty Shafts, this area featured high-rise buildings that were often teaming with loot. The location became a popular drop point for many players, thanks to its unique height variations and high volume of loot. Sadly, at the end of Season X, the area was destroyed and Tilted Towers has been absent from the game ever since.
But now it seems like we could finally see the location make its return. In a recent blog post, Epic revealed a new piece of artwork showing players descending towards the island. In the background of the artwork, eagle-eyed players will have recognised Titled Towers. So what does this mean for the POI?
Is Tilted Towers Coming Back to Fortnite?
The inclusion of Tilted Towers in the artwork is unlikely to be unintentional. The artwork was added to a blog post detailing the return of Late Game Arena to Fortnite on Oct. 5. It's possible that the POI will only be added for this game mode, but that certainly feels like some wasted potential.
It's possible that the Cubes, the main focus of Chapter 2, Season 8 and which have been distorting reality, might be altering the current state of the map. Perhaps they'll be reverting parts of the map back to a previous state, which would explain how Tilted Towers could reappear on the island.
For the moment, though, we don't have much else to go on. With a new update coming to Fortnite later today, it's possible we'll have all of our questions answered then and there.
