For all his many successful games, Hazelight Studios boss Josef Fares may forever be known as the guy who cursed out the Oscars in a live broadcast of The Game Awards 2017. Luckily, it seems Fares enjoys the reputation, as he and Hazelight have included an Easter egg reference to that rant in their new game It Takes Two.

In the Pillow Fort chapter of the game, players can find the audio of the moment when scanning the airwaves by turning their radar all the way around and finding a specific point on the band.

If the radar is tuned correctly, they'll hear Fares ask TGA host Geoff Keighley if he can swear before he launches into his rant.

"Fuck the Oscars! You know? Fuck the Oscars!" he can be heard shouting. "Fuck you!" The crowd behind him is a confused mix of shock and encouragement, but Fares powers through to the end of the brief audio clip.

Keighley himself posted footage of the Easter egg to Twitter, indicating he may have signed off on the audio's inclusion in-game. Fares replied to Keighley's tweet to marvel at the speed with which players found the hidden joke.

It Takes Two came out March 26.
