Jackie Cyberpunk 2077: Can You Save Him?

Jackie in Cyberpunk 2077 is one of your protagonist's best friends and is introduced during the prologue of the story. The game starts out with you and Jackie robbing a hotel to steal a mysterious chip, basically the main plot of the story.
But what happens to Jackie? It's pretty clear in previous trailers and gameplay footage, but just in case you haven't seen it, beware of spoilers.

Jackie Cyberpunk 2077: Can You Save Him?
As you can probably bet, the job doesn't go well. As you're trying to escape, Jackie takes a bullet in a rather emotional scene. Jackie ends up dying in the car, and it doesn't seem like you can do anything about it.
Now I have some theories. The game is about the chip that apparently makes you immortal. So what if Jackie comes back toward the end of the game. I could totally see it happen, maybe showing off the power of the chip and to shock the player base. Until someone beats the game, we'll have to wait and see, but until then, Jackie is dead.
