Overwatch lead director and Blizzard vice president, Jeff Kaplan, stated in an interview with IGN that he's willing to let Nintendo add any Overwatch character to the fighting game's expansive roster.

Blizzard is bringing Overwatch to Nintendo Switch on Oct. 15, three years after its worldwide release. Kaplan talked to IGN recently and had the following to say in regards to a question about which Overwatch character he'd like to see in Nintendo's flagship fighting game franchise.

"To the Smash Brothers team, whatever character you want, we love them all. They’re all our babies, you can have any single one of them. We have 31 to choose from," Kaplan said to IGN.

Kaplan later added to IGN that he'd like to see Tracer as the top pick, but that Doomfist is probably most people's first idea.

It wouldn't be out of the ordinary for Nintendo to add an Overwatch character to Ultimate. Just alone in this entry, Nintendo has added characters from new franchises such as Animal Crossing, Castlevania, Persona, Dragon Quest, Banjo-Kazooie and Fatal Fury.

It would be the perfect opportunity to add an Overwatch character after the game releases on a new platform.
