If you're looking to add a Spinosaurus into your park, here's how to unlock it in Jurassic World Evolution 2.

What's the best way to spice up a park simulator? By adding dinosaurs, obviously. Whether you're a herbivore harnesser or a carnivore collector, there are plenty of dinos that will help you curate your park to perfection. Of course, some of these creatures are more fearsome than the rest. The Spinosaurus, a predator which earned its place in pop culture thanks to Jurassic Park III, is one of the game's more deadly dinosaurs. Naturally, this means you're going to want it in your park at some point, especially if you're looking to add in a bit of chaos.

So, how do you go about unlocking the Spinosaurus?

How to Unlock the Spinosaurus in Jurassic World Evolution 2

The simplest way to unlock the Spinosaurus is through the game's Challenge Mode. You'll notice in the Research tab that there are a number of other carnivores to obtain through an unlock tree before you unlock the Spinosaurus:

  • Medium Carnivores 1 (Ceratosaurus) – available from the start.
  • Medium Carnivores 2 (Carnotaurus) – can be unlocked at the start.
  • Piscivores 1 (Baryonyx) – unlockable after getting Medium Carnivores 2.
  • Medium Carnivores 4 (Qianzhousaurus) – unlockable after getting Piscivores
  • Piscivores 2 (Suchomimus) – unlockacble after getting Medium Carnivores 4.
  • Piscivores 3 (Spinosaurus) – Requires Piscivores 2 and 3.5-star Park Rating.

In order to fully obtain the Spinorsaurus, you'll need to make sure your scientists possess the required skill points. The Genome skill will become increasingly more important, so be sure to level this up when you have the chance.

After this, all that's left to do is research the genome, find and process the fossils, and prepare the right enclosure. The Spinosaurs needs forests, water, fish, and maybe a few Compsognathus for good measure.
