Just Cause 4 Easter eggs are spread across the game's huge open world and vary in size, from the small and cheeky to the overt and intensive. While there are likely plenty of other Easter eggs to be found in the game, here are the five must-see Easter eggs in Just Cause 4.

1. Just Cause 4 Easter Egg: Jurassic Park Area

If you head to the north-east of the map and clamber through the wodded hills around Delta Rio Wanay, you should be able to find a concrete building with a logo that reads, "Project Solisian Amber." That amber is a reference to the material the dinosaur DNA was extracted from, and the building itself is a copy of the Velociraptor compound from Jurassic Park.

2. Just Cause 4 Easter Egg: Getting Over It Tribute

Getting Over It was the surprise indie hit of 2017, taking Twitch in particular by storm with its unintuitive controls and garbage-absurdism. Just Cause 4 pays tribute to the game on the eastern edge of the mountain range in the Picos Helados region, where players can find the cauldron and pickaxe from the original game.

This tribute is surprisingly robust, as Rico can use the tools and play a miniature version of Getting Over It. Getting Over It creator Bennet Foddy even provides some of his signature wry commentary.

3. Just Cause 4 Easter Egg: Cow Gun

Not all of the Easter eggs in Just Cause 4 are references to other pieces of pop culture. One of the weirdest in the game is a gun that, when shot at human enemies, transforms them into anthropomorphized cows. The alternative fire, meanwhile, turns Rico himself into a cow. Players can find the Cow Gun in the southwest of the map, northeast of Vaivenes, in front of a small farmhouse.

4. Just Cause 4 Easter Egg: PUBG Pan and Death Crate

In one of its most low-key Easter eggs, Just Cause shouts out PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS. The village of Don Hector in the Abundancia region is home to a balcony with two tributes to PUBG on it. One is a crate similar to those dropped by dead players i n PUBG, while the other is the frying pan famous for blocking bullets.

While the crate doesn't have any mechanical impact, the pan can be used as a replacement for Rico's whip.

5. Just Cause 4 Easter Egg: A-Ha "Take On Me" Building

The flashiest Easter egg in Just Cause 4 is undoubtedly the one tucked away in an unassuming, half-finished building in the Abundancia district's city of Vista Futura. Head inside and you'll be able to hear "Take On Me," the 1985 hit single by A-Ha, playing out loud. Climb the stairs to the second floor and you'll enter a reconstruction of the song's music video, including the striking sketched visual effect.

Head toward the woman dancing and she and Rico will dance together, just like in the music video.
