Kingambit Evolution, Stats, Location: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's launch has introduced all-new type combinations of Pokémon to discover. One of these new Pokémon is Kingambit, which is one of the only Pokémon to have a dark and steel type combination.
While Kingambit makes its debut in Scarlet and Violet, its pre-evolutions Pawniard and Bisharp first appeared in Generation V. This additional evolution comes alongside the introduction of evolutions to other earlier-generation Pokémon, such as Primeape's new evolution Annihilape. Here's what you need to know to obtain a Kingambit and how to best use it in battle.
The Bisharp must be squad leaders! You need to defeat the other Bisharp in front of their follower Pawniards.

Common bisharp will not count to evolve.
Kingambit Evolution: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
While Kingambit has no further evolutions, Bisharp evolves into a Kingambit after defeating three other Bisharp who are leading a group of Pawniard. Additionally, Bisharp will need to have the Leader's Crest to complete the evolution, which can be found by using Thief on these leader Bisharp or by catching one in the wild. Once you've defeated the required Bisharp, Bisharp will evolve after gaining a single level.
Pawniard evolves into Bisharp at level 52, but keep in mind that you won't be able to obtain a Leader's Crest this way.
Kingambit Stats: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
As Kingambit is a final evolution, its stats are relatively high:
- HP: 100
- Attack: 135
- Defense: 120
- Special Attack: 60
- Special Defense: 85
- Speed: 50
Kingambit Location: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Kingambit is not obtainable in the wild, but Bisharp and Pawniard can be found in the bamboo area of North Province (Area Two) to complete the evolution.
