How to Dodge Incoming Attacks in Kirby and the Forgotten Land
First, in order to begin your dodge, you'll need to get Kirby into a defensive position. To do this, press any of the shoulder buttons (L, ZL, R, ZR) on the Joy-Con controller. In this position, Kirby will take substantially less damage from attacks.
While in the defensive position, Kirby can dodge by pushing the left analog stick in the direction you want to dodge. Like most games, dodging at the right time can help Kirby nulify incoming damage for a few frames, making it a necessary skill to master.
In addtion, players will be able to pull off certain counterattacks fresh out of a dodge to truly get the upper hand on some enemies.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
