Kojima Last of Us 2: Page Impersonating Kojima Productions Mocks Last of Us Part II Player

Kojima and The Last of Us 2 appeared to cross paths in a small way this week, as a Facebook page claiming to represent Kojima Productions Co., Ltd. mocked a commenter who said they sold their copy of Death Stranding to buy The Last of Us Part II.

Kojima Last of Us 2: Page Impersonating Kojima Productions Mocks Last of Us Part II Player

In an screenshotted exchange, a Facebook user named Stéphane MusicAddict called Death Stranding "Boring as shit," saying they sold their copy to buy The Last of Us Part II instead.

The operator of the page titled Kojima Productions Co. Ltd replied soon after, writing, "The choice of game reflects the quality of its player. Maybe it suits you more. P.S. Also the choice of words." The page author attached an image of The Last of Us Part II's Metacritic score (95/100) beside its user score (4.3/10).

Kojima Productions itself denied that it operates the page.

"To clarify, it's not our page," wrote global head of marketing and communication Jay Boor in response to an article about the Facebook exchange. Boor went on to state Kojima Productions has no official Facebook page.

The Facebook page in question does include a small disclaimer that it is run by "fan of Kojima," but largely presents itself as an official page.
