Latios returns to Pokémon GO in late January, giving players the chance to catch one half of the eon duo from the Hoenn region. The Legendary Pokémon isn't easy to take down. Here's how best to catch it.
Latios Pokémon GO: How to Catch
Latios' return will take place during a special raid weekend event scheduled to begin Jan. 24 at 4 p.m. ET and conclude Jan. 27 at 4 p.m. ET. Players will be able to squad up and join five-star raids offering the chance to add the Dragon- and Psychic-Type Pokémon to their collections.
Latios' greatest weaknesses are largely other Dragon-Type Pokémon, though Bug-, Ice-, Fairy- and Dark-Type Pokémon can do in a pinch. Players' best options for catching Latios are Rayquaza, Salamence, Dragonite and Palkia.
These Pokémon are rare in their own right. Some slightly more common alternatives are Haxorous, Garchamp, Darkrai and Chandelure. As long as those Pokémon are equipped with their Dragon-Type attacks, they should be able to get the job done.
