Riot Games detailed all the champion releases coming to League of Legends in 2024 including new releases and Visual Gameplay Updates.
Season 2024 is set to be the biggest update to League of Legends in arguably the game's history. Summoner's Rift is undergoing massive terrain changes alongside updates to the big, bad Baron Nashor, Rift Herald and a new neutral objective. And, of course, there will be new champions released throughout the year.
The first champion release will be Smolder, the Fiery Fledgling, coming in Patch 14.3. After that, there will be two more champion releases plus three released VGUs.

League of Legends Smolder Release Date and Abilities
Check out Smolder's full abilities breakdown here. As previously mentioned, Smolder will release in Patch 14.3 on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
League of Legends Skarner VGU Coming in 2024
Riot Games confirmed via a Season 2024 press release that Skarner's long-awaited VGU is finishing up. It is confirmed for release in the first half of 2024, though a specific release date remains unknown.
Two More League of Legends VGUs Confirmed
Riot Games announced two more champions will receive VGUs in 2024. Shyvana will receive an update with special attention given around her gameplay, and the second champion is someone featured in Arcane. According to Riot Games, this VGU will focus on matching their depiction to the show.
Ambessa Medarda is Coming to League of Legends in 2024
Ambessa Medarda, the Noxian warlord from Arcane Season 1, is coming to League of Legends in 2024. This will be the first time a character featured in the show will be released in League of Legends.
League of Legends Vastayan Champion Coming in 2024
The final champion release announced is a Vastayan, solo-laning, mid-range mage. No other information regarding the champion was released, though players can expect this champion after Smolder.
