League of Legends Patch 11.8 is a couple days away from release so it won't be too long until we'll all be able to experience the changes it has in store. We'll be seeing a lot of champion adjustments which may prompt a few interesting role swaps in the future. The supports will be pretty happy with this patch, a lot of their items received some interesting changes that might dance on the edge of excessive.
League of Legends Patch 11.8 Preview
Let's start off with the items, there haven't been any serious nerfs or buffs to items. However, 11.8 comes with a ton of support item changes that are sure to have a big impact in the mid and late game. Moonstone Renewer, Shurelia's Battlesong, and Staff of Flowing Water have all had their abilities reworked. We see a lot of movement speed being given out and received, this'll help with pinning down isolated enemies and making sure losing teams can't escape team fights. These'll be a huge help to ganking junglers, they'll fly into the bot lane easily and rack up kills easily.
This patch also comes with a few interesting champion changes that seem to be in an attempt to influence diversity amongst certain roles. Zed, Darius, Mordekaiser, Morgana, and Diana have all received damage buffs to jungle camps. This is a bit odd since none of them are ever really in the jungle outside of the occasional blue or red buff. But, maybe these changes will make players want to try them out and see what they could do in a new role.
We also see a new Riot rebuild, this time to Rammus. It wasn't too long ago that this champion was one of the top-tier junglers of season 11 so it's possible that an entire rework of his kit might bring him back to prominence. We'll be able to see definitively when patch 11.8 goes live on April 14.
