League of Legends Patch 12.16 Release Date

League of Legends Patch 12.16 is confirmed to be coming soon. New patches in League of Legends often come with a variety of Champion and System buffs, nerfs, and adjustments, meaning Champion viability and which Champions are strongest in the meta change frequently after patches.

Here's the release date for League of Legends Patch 12.16, as well as what changes are coming to the game.

League of Legends Patch 12.16 Release Date

League of Legends Patch 12.16 is expected to roll out on Aug. 24. The patch will go live at around 3 a.m. PT (NA servers), 5 a.m. GMT (EUW servers), 3 a.m. CET (EUNE servers), and 8 a.m. KST (Korean servers). Players should expect servers to be down for a short period of time as the new update goes live.

A Tweet by League of Legends Developer Matt Leung-Harrison, known as @RiotPhroxzon on Twitter, revealed the big changes being made to Champions in the patch. Patch 12.16 will see buffs to Tristana, Zoe, Irelia, Caitlyn, Kai'Sa, Jayce, Vladimir, Malphite and Zyra. The patch will also see nerfs to Zeri, Yuumi, Draven, and Poppy. Finally, Evershroud is getting a buff, and Diana is getting a minor adjustment to her passive damage and her E AP Ratio.
