League of Legends Patch 12.2 is scheduled to go live Jan. 19, 2022, releasing new skins for several champions. Players can expect many new skins this year for new and old thematics to be added. Here's what players can expect from the Patch 12.2 skin releases.
League of Legends has done a great job releasing skins the past few years. Riot Games explained that they had set a goal to release 140 skins each year. This year, Riot revealed a few new skin thematics and champions who will hopefully receive new skins this year.
Players can look forward to seeing the Star Guardian, High Noon and Bees skin thematics make a return to the game, along with skins for Trundle, Rell, Orianna, Fiddlesticks, Gangplank, Rek'Sai and Heimerdinger.
As of now, League of Legends has almost 1,400 skins in the game, and around 2,750 chromas. Although there have been some objectively bad skins in League of Legends, Riot has been able to showcase their skins design team the past year by releasing beautiful and smooth-running skins.
