League of Legends Ranked Season 2022 Dates Announced
Riot Games also announced with the Ranked Season 2022 dates, the changes that have come with ranked. Most of these changes are purely visual, but the decay rules for the Apex tiers (a.k.a. Master, Grandmaster and Challenger) are changing to correct misplacements and improve the matchmaking experience.
The changes include:
- Banked Days for Apex Players: 10 days ⇒ 14 days
- Updated Decay Rate: 250 LP per day ⇒ 75 LP per day
- Updated Apex Decay Floor: Diamond I ⇒ Diamond II
Along with these Apex player changes, ranked armor will now be called ranked crests and have been visually updated. This change will be setting up the new Challenges system which will be arriving in the game later this year. The Challenges system is already in PBE and will create a new way for players to rank in the game without playing ranked Summoner's Rift.
2022 will be a busy year for League of Legends with new features, champions, objectives and items in the game, but with the growing popularity of the game, Riot Games has done an excellent job with consistently updating the game. Players should be excited for what 2022 will bring to League of Legends.
