Liao Overwatch: Sixth Founding Member of Overwatch Could be Introduced Soon

Liao Overwatch is the mysterious sixth member who helped found Overwatch, but not much is known about them. We don't know whether they are male or female or something else. They could even be a Omnic.

Liao could have been forgotten about or left behind, but an Overwatch fan needed to know more. Twitter user Zaytoz tweeted at Michael Chu, lead writer of Overwatch, about Liao and whether they would ever make into the game.

"Definitely still an important character. More to come," responded Chu via Twitter. It doesn't give us much, but we know they are going to be apart of the game. Liao could be a further character in the game, released down the road or they could simply be introduced in a comic to further the plot line.

It's more likely Liao won't be introduced until Overwatch 2 which will be more plot focused. That will be a perfect place to add the sixth founding member of Overwatch to the game.
