The job posting itself specifically seeks a game producer for a PC and console release based on "a major worldwide IP very close to our hearts."

Although Weta's connection to "Lord of the Rings," is its most famous, the studio has also worked with several other major intellectual properties, including "The Chronicles of Narnia," "Avatar," several Marvel properties such as Iron Man, and a roughly equivalent number of DC properties including Batman.

Weta launched its gaming division in 2012, and has released several games. Peter Jackson sold Weta Digital, the visual effects division of the company, to Unity earlier this year for $1.625 billion.
