Lucky Pokemon in Pokemon Go: What are They?
Lucky Pokemon can really only be obtained by luck. When trading Pokemon with another player, there is a chance that the Pokemon can become lucky. This means that the Stardust required for powering the Pokemon will be reduced by 50%, meaning that these Pokemon can reach higher CP much faster than a normal Pokemon could.
Furthermore, it's important to note that the longer a Pokemon has been in your possession, the greater the chance will be that it will become a lucky Pokemon when traded. Lucky Pokemon also have a sparkling effect on the Pokedex that will extend to the entries before and after it.
Lucky Pokemon also have a green label below their name, which indicates that they are lucky.
